Start by removing any objects from the windowsill and dusting the area. This will prevent dirt and debris from getting on the windows during the cleaning process. If you have window screens, you can remove them and vacuum them to remove any dust or dirt.
Avoid using harsh chemicals or ammonia-based cleaners, as they can damage certain types of windows, especially those with low-emissivity coatings. Instead, fill a bucket with warm water only, as this is the best cleaning solution.
Dip a microfiber cloth or sponge into the warm water and wring out any excess water. Start by wiping the window frame and tracks, removing any dirt or grime. Once you have squeegeed the entire window, use a lint free towel to dry any remaining water droplets. Start at the top and work your way down, making sure to dry the edges and corners of the glass. Finally, use a clean microfiber cloth to buff the windows and remove any remaining streaks.
